Hey all,
Wow, it just occurred to me that i might not have time to write music and make art while doing the big push on the novel (and working my various day jobs.) Huh, go figure.
So, yeah, the art posts are going to take a month off. I’ll be excited to share more art and music with you in the middle of next month. See you then!

My friend Neil sketched a seven-legged spider for the end of one of his books. It’s a nice little drawing, so i sketched and cut my own version. I think mine is fuzzier.
I drew this one before the, far superior, other dragonfly stamp, but i cut it anyway.
J sez: “But it doesn’t really look like a dragonfly.”
I say: “Shut up, YOU don’t look like a dragonfly.”
Moving on…
I’m a science fiction writer. I have to have at least one spaceship stamp, right?
More quick stuff, i grabbed a few little pieces and made these.
I took this little strip and made a four-sided stamp to make little borders:

Based on a sketch by J, i cut this mermaid on a pretty big piece of thin rubber.
It’s a little hard to stamp, the middle wants to bubble and then doesn’t stamp as well. I discovered that if you start in the middle and then rub outward, it works pretty well.
Whew. Long day today. Just a few simple stamps, cut on the front and back of a scrap piece of rubber.
Wanted to see if i could makes stamps that could be used to to make patterned paper. You know, like for wrapping paper. So i made these two:
And the result…
Made this for A’s birthday yesterday. She’s a clown and has a whole clown manifesto that is so cool i wish it was online, so i could link to it. I figured she’d be able to … i dunno, approve things?
I hope she likes it.
