art day 20 – [crafts] calligraphy with hand-cut bamboo nib

I wanted to make a present for notadoor, so i cut a bamboo stalk from my backyard and carved it into a calligraphy nib.
This was my second try, once the bamboo started to accept the ink a little better. Later on, i’ll post some pictures of me making and using the bamboo nib.
I think it came out pretty ok, but i probably still have a lot more practice to do. I added her full name with Gimp. I thought if she ever needed a business card…
