Working on about four hours sleep this morning … because i’m stupid. Had a wonderful time staying up late with writing friends. One was:

John probably kept me up on purpose so to be blessed with the awesome purchasing power of $10 if i fail to reach 32,000 words by the time i go to bed tonight. Sneaky!

Positive Reinforcement.

Starting with Emily, and then Sarah and Pati, the idea of positive reinforcement is starting to inch its way into my consciousness. Ok, fine, it does make sense. Last night Jerry was making fun of me. “Have you ever done nice things for yourself when you meet your goals?”

Sure … i think … shut up!

No, sorry, kidding. Yeah, i think i get the idea. But what should i do? I’m thinking i should reward myself every five days that i succeed. (If i get my writing done today, that would be tonight!) But what should i do? I don’t have a lot of money. What are awesome rewards that will cost less than paying out $10 a day over five days?

Suggestions? Thoughts?

Novelburns update.

My sideburns itch!

After much consideration and input from my advisors, i’ve decided that the connected mustache is, in fact, too much. I think going even further into my already poorly thought out and celibacy-inducing sideburns may not actually make me happy. So we’re going to go with the mutton chops … which itch.

*sigh* I’m going to look like Issac Asimov.

Well, better get to the writing …
